A human commons cell atlas reveals cell type specificity for OAS1 isoforms
OAS1 isoforms have distinct antiviral activities, and protection requires expression in the infected cell type. Existing cell atlases report gene-level expression and lose isoform information. A uniformly rebuilt 2.9-million-cell, 27-tissue atlas enabled isoform quantification and identified high OAS1 p44b expression specifically in spermatogenic germ cells.
