A transcriptomic and epigenomic cell atlas of the mouse primary motor cortex

Brain circuits contain highly diverse cell types whose molecular and regulatory identities require measurements across complementary modalities. Existing single-cell assays reveal different aspects of those identities and can vary in sensitivity. Transcriptomic and epigenomic profiles from more than 500,000 mouse primary motor cortex cells resolved over 56 reproducible neuronal cell types and thousands of concordant marker genes and regulatory elements.
