Benchmarking of lightweight-mapping based single-cell RNA-seq pre-processing

Growing single-cell RNA-seq datasets require preprocessing tools that are both accurate and computationally efficient. Technology-specific preprocessing solutions do not scale well as datasets grow. kallisto-bustools and Salmon-Alevin-fry produced similar downstream results, but Salmon-Alevin-fry was slower, required more memory, and made large-dataset processing more expensive.
