Pseudoalignment facilitates assignment of error-prone Ultima Genomics reads
Lower sequencing costs could broaden biological and clinical projects, but new platforms must still yield assignable reads. Ultima Genomics single-cell RNA-seq reads show elevated errors in and near homopolymers and lower quality than matched Illumina reads. Pseudoalignment compensates for these errors and assigns Ultima reads better than standard read alignment.
